We are participating in a study of toddler development with researchers at the University of Georgia. To participate, parents of children coming in for their 18- and 24-month visits will be asked to complete a short questionnaire including 20 yes/no questions.
The goal of the study is to find ways to more accurately diagnose developmental problems earlier in life. We know that earlier diagnosis can lead to earlier and more-effective therapy.
Participation is optional. If you don’t want your child involved in the study, just let us know and do not complete the forms. If you do wish to participate, advantages include potentially earlier diagnosis of important issues thru a series of in-depth evaluations that will be provided free-of-charge.
Prior to coming in for your child’s 18- and 24- month visit, you can print, review, and complete the study materials thru this link on our website. We can also mail the materials to you—just give us a call a week or so before your appointment. The study is only appropriate for children coming in for their 18- and 24- month well visits.
